A luxurious cruise means many things to many people but we feel that Silversea’s small ship cruises personify the true meaning of comfort and intimacy. Our ships are small enough to visit exceptional destinations; yet large enough to make sure that you may experience everything you could dream of. Your home away from home on the high seas awaits aboard our luxury cruise ships.
INTIMATE LUXURY SHIPS

Silversea Expeditions scuba diving cruises feature some of the most remote destinations in the world and top diving sites in the Indian and western Pacific oceans. In addition to a divemaster on board, Silversea Expeditions' cruises feature experts including marine biologists, ecologists, environmentalists, and geologists. Since January 2019, Silversea upgraded fleetwide company's in-cabin TV programming by adding 2 new channels - National Geographic (NatGeo / science-travel documentaries) and Sport 24 (live sports events). In August 2016, Silversea announced the company's plans to invest USD 170 million in a fleetwide drydock refurbishment project. In May 2019, CroisiEurope (one of Europe's largest river cruise companies) announced the acquisition of Silver Discoverer (1989-built).
Smaller, Superior Silversea
Because Silversea has both a luxury cruise and luxury expedition fleet, you can stay with the same trusted company for all of your cruise vacations. Want a relaxing beach vacation in the Caribbean, a whirlwind sightseeing tour of Europe or an adventurous exploration of Antarctica? Silver Muse pioneered the balance between small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodation. One of the larger ships in our fleet, she offers eight dining offers, plenty of onboard entertainment and a wide choice of public areas. It advertises an all-inclusive cruise package, which includes everything from shore excursions and alcoholic drinks to butler service and gratuities.

Silversea Expeditions
The 26-day voyage included ~9260 km of sea navigation and visiting 27 ports and destinations on 2 continents and in 3 countries. During the passage through the Canadian Arctic, the cruise ship was escorted by a CCG icebreaker. On the ship were 15 expedition team crew (including historians, geologists, botanists, marine biologists, ornithologists, professional photographers) presenting ~50 itinerary-themed onboard lectures. In July 2022, Silversea welcomed Silver Endeavour to its fleet—the world’s most luxurious expedition ship, designed specifically to take travellers to the world’s most remote destinations, including both Polar Regions. Silversea caters to Baby Boomers, affluent and often retired, with the leisure and the resources to make Silversea their cruise line of choice. Silversea Expeditions also appeals to that demographic, as well as younger professionals with a desire for active cruising that includes posh cabins and stellar service alongside Zodiac expeditions, snorkeling excursions and in-port hikes.
By 2024, the brand's fleet capacity (11x vessels) will increase 56% in comparison to 2020 (pre-COVID). Silversea offers ultra-luxurious all-inclusive cruises that include unlimited beverages and gratuities. Five ships in its fleet sail traditional luxury ocean cruise itineraries while the remaining four are earmarked for expedition journeys to remote regions of the world. Stellar service and butlers for everyone are hallmarks of both types of experiences. Ultraluxury line Silversea Cruises offers a jaw-dropping array of worldwide destinations on both classic — as the line calls its traditional cruise ships — and expedition vessels.
Personalised Service
In May 2019, Silver Discoverer was sold to CroisiEurope, joining the fleet in 2020-Q1 under the name La Belle des Oceans. Onboard, each Silversea cruise ship has a pool and hot tubs that see a lot of action, and the spa gets a lot of use, as well. Silversea cruisers also enjoy attending lectures on the culture and history of the destinations they visit, and like to spend time in the library. Evening shows, which range from opera-themed to swing-era classics, also draw a crowd.

All accomodations are spacious, ocean-view suites that include butler service, and most include private verandas.
Initially, Silversea was the only luxury line offering both voyage styles; perhaps its success led the way for others, such as Viking and Seabourn, which have followed. Introducing Silver Nova - our newest vessel that joined us in summer 2023, and is a home away from home for up to 728 guests. Silver Nova’s innovative asymmetrical design introduces the world like never before, offering an immersive destination experience to our guests. With a gross tonnage of 54,700 tons, she offers a space-to-guest ratio of 75 GRT-per-passenger becoming one of the most spacious cruise ships ever built. What’s more, Silver Nova is our most environmentally friendly, and thanks to her groundbreaking technological solutions, she propels Silversea into a new era of sustainable cruising. In 2019 (August 10 through September 5), Silver Explorer completed the company's first "Northwest Passage Cruise" from Alaska (Nome AK) to Europe (Tromso Norway).
Silversea caters to travelers looking for extra-long sailings to multiple destinations. The line offers a limited number of "combination cruises," where itineraries combine two or three cruises into one for in-depth regional exploration. In late-July 2019, Silversea announced a partnership deal with the French company Lalique (1888-founded in Paris France). The brand specializes in the production of lead glass/crystal (including vases and perfume bottles) and luxury crystal art. For Silversea, Lalique will produce decorative glass artworks (hand-crafted crystal panels) for fleet's La Dame restaurants (capacity ~40 seats each).
Silversea (silversea.com, 1994-founded) Is an ultra-premium travel brand and Monaco-based cruise company. With its first ship (Silver Cloud), Silversea pioneered as an all-inclusive passenger shipping company on May 30th (1994) when Silver Cloud was christened in Monte Carlo (Monaco). Currently, Silversea's schedule list 900+ destinations (ports and islands) all over the world.
Silversea's ships are small, but that doesn't mean you can't have a choice in what to eat and where to dine. Menus are delivered the night before so you can plan your meal or request alternatives if you have a dietary restriction. All ships offer a number of alternative venues; Silver Muse has eight eateries. Choose from the exclusive and intimate La Dame, an alfresco grill or an Italian restaurant on most ships; on the larger ones, you can try Asian venues, a supper club and an outdoor Italian-style pizza venue. Every cabin on a Silversea cruise ship is called a suite because it has sleeping and sitting areas separated by at least a curtain.
For passengers who book Grand Voyage/long World Cruise trips, the ship puts on complimentary special events, such as a visit to a Carnival samba club in Rio; other treats such as Silversea swag often show up in the cabin. Many of these longer trips also include value-adds such as onboard credit and free internet. Ships like Silver Spirit look more like cruise ships, with amenities that include larger pools, lounges and plentiful dining options.
